Right now I am focusing more on a whole language approach with a very tiny bit of letter-sound correspondence thrown in. My daughter has entire books memorized and “reads” pages or pictures aloud to me or even to herself. Kids can learn to sight read just from reading the same book a million times right? That’s what I’m banking on. 😉 How do you all deal with spelling in the literate years (over 7 years old)?
